2010-2011 Legislative Priorities
The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce is the leading advocate for business in Frederick County and the region. We play the role of a trusted leader for business in promoting the economic vitality of Frederick County, bringing people together to solve common problems.
We believe the following factors are key components toward creating a healthy climate for businesses to grow, expand, and relocate to Frederick County:
- A strong economic and workforce development strategy
- A competitive regulatory and tax climate
- An efficient and effective transportation & infrastructure network

More about the Chamber's Advocacy Programs
Advocacy on behalf of the Frederick County business community is one of the core mission objectives of the Chamber. Greenwill Consulting Group, our lobbyists in Annapolis, help us monitor state legislation that may impact our local community. Our Public Policy Committee meets monthly to keep tabs on local and regional issues. To help our members stay informed, we send easy-to-read summaries of important issues in Public Policy Update emails – These messages are delivered weekly during the State legislative session (January through April) and at other times throughout the year when necessary.
Do you have a question, comment, or other feedback to share with the Public Policy Committee? Send us an email.
