Yesterday, United Way of Frederick County was overjoyed to receive a heartfelt donation from our friends at Quantum Loophole: Frederick County, MD. Their support will directly impact local ALICE families, providing crucial services like budget coaching, credit counseling, and matched savings for homes or vehicles through our Pathways to Financial Stability program. We are thankful for their continued support! Meet a few of the faces behind the generosity: Rick Keiner (CFO) and Justin Matney (Director of Resource Integration) from Quantum Loophole! If you attended a Chromebook distribution last fall, you may recognize Justin who exemplified Quantum Loophole’s commitment to community by volunteering alongside QL’s Director of Marketing Taylor McCarthy.

Taking a significant step toward attracting data center development to the state, Maryland's Governor Wes Moore on May 9 signed the Critical Infrastructure Streamlining Act of 2024, which defines and creates a legislative framework enabling automatic approvals of emergency backup power generation. The new law addresses a sticking point on diesel generators for backup power that precluded Aligned Data Centers' 264 MW project just seven months ago, and paves the way for the development of Quantum Loophole, Inc.'s Quantum Frederick Campus. DCF Senior Editor David Chernicoff has the report. #datacenter #hyperscale #Maryland #development #diesel #generators https://lnkd.in/eSRda9MF
